「善意だけでは介護はできない」俵萠子さん [ column ]
YOMIURI ONLINEに俵萠子さんの講演録の記事がありました。
「介護が必要になった時、だれにオムツを替えてもらいたいかを考えたんです。娘や息子は気兼ねするから絶対イヤ。お金を出して他人にみてもらうのが一番気楽だと思いました」（YOMIURI ONLINEの記事より引用）
「善意だけでは介護はできない」とも述べておられますが、そのとおりです。家族に大きな負担をかけてしまうことで、家族間の人間関係がゆがんでしまうケースも多々あります。家族の介護には、その「スキル」の面からも足りない部分が多々ありますが、それを「愛情」で補えると考えられるのは、現実問題としては最初のうちだけという場合が多いようです。
そのように考えると、自宅近くに充実した高齢者施設があって頻繁に行き来もできる環境の整備が求められてきます。地域に幼稚園や学校があるように、老人ホームや介護施設も今後は整備する必要があります。子供の人口よりも高齢者が増えることも間違いないのですから……。
